This blog is mostly about my life and experiences. I also blog about religion and spirituality. Sometimes I make observations about general news and current events. I also blog about specific hobbies and interests I have, such as reading, hiking, music, travel, and technology. Another way of saying this is that I try to blog what I'm most passionate about on any given day.
On the downside, that means this blog is fairly eclectic; you never know what you're going to get. That makes my blog the kind experts say will never "make it to the next level." That's okay; that's not why I blog.
Why do I blog, you ask? The first and foremost reason is because I need an outlet. I like to teach, inform, amuse, challenge...all those things teachers, writers, pastors and critics like myself enjoy doing. I also blog because I hope to become a better writer; blogging forces me to be creative and keeps my mind sharp. I enjoy writing and would love to be a "real writer" some day. I practice here. Still a third reason I blog is because I like to build community. As a Christian and former pastor, community-building is important to me. I believe the more voices, the better. I enjoy reading and commenting on other blogs and I hope others will feel free to do the same with mine.
As for the name of this blog, if you will click on the name, "All the Good" you will be taken to the post where I explain where the name originated.
Thank-you for reading this - I'd love to hear from you...
